  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1-½ teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
  • 2 medium Honeycrisp apples, peeled and chopped
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tbsp 2% milk

Steps:

  1. Cut pieces of parchment to fit the air fryer basket and place them to line the inside of the basket. Spray with cooking spray and preheat to 210°.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Then, add milk, eggs, lemon juice, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Stir until moist. Fold in the apples.
  3. Drop the dough by ¼ cupfuls in the air-fryer basket. Spray it with some cooking spray and cook until golden brown (approx. 5-6 minutes). Turn them and continue to cook until the other side is golden brown.
  4. Add an ample amount of butter over a pan and melt it over medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes or until butter starts to foam. After which, remove the pan from the heat and let the butter cool for a while.
  5. Add confectioner’s sugar, 1 tbsp milk, and the rest of the ½ tsp vanilla extract to butter, then whisk until smooth.
  6. Sprinkle over the fritters, then serve.

Steps:
